Go for a ride...

Spring is coming! I can’t wait to go for a ride in our GSXR-1000 motorcycle. It’s been a long time that Mike didn’t ride his bike. I think the last time I had a back ride is when Dustin is 2 years old. It’s been almost 2 years now. The helmet that I used before, we sell it when we had garage sale. I still have the River Road jacket though that I kept in case we can go for a ride again. One of Mike’s friends invited him to go for a ride at the Mesa using their bikes. Of course, I can’t go with them because I need to watch the kids. I am not sure if Mike will go with them but maybe not. He needs to wait this spring or summer before he can ride his bike again. The bike he has is good for racing. He also have problem in his back that’s why he don’t use his bike that much. He was thinking to exchange his bike or maybe buy a new one with different style. The style that is comfortable, don’t make so much noise and fun to ride. The leather jacket he had was old and I think he needs a new one. I told him to buy another river road jacket just like the one I have. It looks nice and the quality provides protection and comfort. Almost done!

At last, our patio is almost done. Mike put wiring for electricity, heater and a thermostat. He also put a new light and insulation. He didn’t put dry wall yet. The floor is not done; we are planning to buy floor tiles that match our kitchen tiles. Next week if the weather gets warmer, he needs to fix the roof because we had leek. So hopefully, we will finished fixing our patio not before summer!

Tuesday rants...

It was Tuesday morning, Dana just falls asleep and Dustin is playing his game online. This is the right time to hop in a bathtub and take a shower. We have meeting tonight and I need to study in advance too and read couple of scriptures in the bible. There’s not much to do this morning, just couple of things. I still need to wash the dirty clothes of my kids and maybe wipe the floor because I see some of dog’s footprints. I don’t have any tasks to do this morning, so maybe I can just update my facebook and posts new photos of my kids.

Problems...

We’re behind in our insurance bills this month. I am sure they will send us a letter again for a reminder. It’s really hard to catch up our bills especially that only one in the household is working. We’re trying to save money and save energy since our electric bill are very high this month. Gosh… lot of problems here. My family in the Philippines have financial problem too and they are asking if I can send them money. We don’t have extra money for this week, maybe next month I will send them extra allowance. Can't get enough...

Mike working a lot this week, he will work also this weekend. I felt bad about it because I’m worry about him and his health. Since his working this Sunday, it means he can’t go shopping with us. I’m planning to buy Dustin and Dana new toys. Dustin has many toys but he can’t get enough with it. He always wants more. Every time we go to the store, he asks for a toy car or a book. Well, he’s a little boy and that’s what makes them happy!

Our friend is planning to have a camping trip this spring. They own a big RV. We are still thinking about it but we’re not sure yet if we can go with them. While where doing our grocery shopping at the Filipino Store, I heard one of their customers talking about “Lechon”. I am not totally sure where in Montrose but they said it’s not as good as the Philippine Lechon style. I’m starting to think about it and start missing it. It’s been 2 years since I didn’t eat my favorite roasted pig (lechon baboy). It was 2 years ago when we buy lechon at the store but not a whole pig. We just bought like 3-4 kilos of chopped lechon. I really missed it and I’m hoping that if ever we will come back again in the Philippines, I will absolutely buy a whole roasted pig and bring it at the beach together with my family!

Annoying caller...

Who will not be frustrated if someone keep calling you on the phone and trying to sell something? How many times did you say “I'm not interested?” but they never stop. They still keep calling and bugging you. It happens for me all the time that's why I don't want to answer the phone if it's toll free number. There is one annoying caller that keep calling in my cellphone, trying to sell phone cards. She said that someone refer me to use their phone cards. She keep explaining how different their phone cards is but for me it doesn't matter. My husband and I are not interested and we told them many times that we are not interested and we are happy to the phone cards that we're using for international call. Hope she won't call me anymore.

I’m not crazy about eye liner. I never used it before even in my high school and college days. But I noticed some of my friends are using it. They said eyeliner can make your eyes look smoky. Mayon Volcano - Update

I’m so glad that Mayon Volcano didn’t erupted. Many evacuees are headed home now and I am sure that’s a big relief to those tens of thousands of Filipinos evacuated. The alert level was lowered and they said that the people evacuated from five miles danger zone can safely return home, but the remaining 3,000 who live in a six kilometer zone will have to remain in evacuation center. Many people still worried about the situation of the Mayon Volcano. Even though the alert level was lowered but there is still possibility that the Mayon Volcano will have a hazardous explosion. I just hope that no one will get hurt and I’m still hoping that the explosion of the Mayon Volcano won’t happen this year or for coming years. I pray to all people around the world!

Plans this year...

I was about to go out in service this morning but seeing the weather outside makes me want to go back in bed and sleep more. It was foggy, cold and the temperature is 7 degrees. It is partly cloudy in the late afternoon. The kids still sleeping and its already quarter to 9:00am. I studied in advance last night and read some of the interested article in our magazines that talks about “Alcohol” and “How to balance your work and family life”. It was very interesting and I am sure if you read those articles, you will learn a lot of things. This is a perfect article this month since Christmas and New Year involved heavy drinking and overworked is one of the problems of many too. I told Mike to get a chance to read the magazine since he works to hard with this family. It’s really hard to keep up on bills and we really need the money especially this year that we are planning to travel and spend family vacation in the Philippines. I just hope that we can fulfill our dreams and plans this year!

Many people already made their New Year resolution. Me? Well… I have lot of things in my mind right now and I have lot of plans for this year. One of my plans is to get Dustin a swimming lesson this summer. We also need to save money so that we can spend a family vacation in the Philippines. I need to learn how to cook interesting food. Help save the electricity and water, I need to go out more on service, communicate more to my husband. Spend more time with my kids and less time to spend in the computer. How about you?
