When we got married, I told my husband that I would take on the responsibility of paying our bills. He had essentially no credit when we got married, so most of the bills had to be in my name anyway. I would sit down with the checkbook twice per month and spend about an hour organizing and paying the bills. It was not until recently that I asked him to take over because I was feeling overwhelmed. The first thing he did when he took over was to go to the library and search “4G internet Doyle” because he said that we needed internet so he could set up online bill pay. I do not know why I did not think of that. It probably would have made my life much easier and less stressful. He got the internet set up pretty quickly, and I am glad we have it now because I have wanted it for quite a while. I look forward to being able to check my email from home, among other things. I will probably not volunteer to take over the bills again any time soon.
