Maybe I should have thought about it more before I decided to start my own business but you know, at the end of the day my dad told me to always follow my heart when it came to big decisions. So last year when I got laid off from my job I just KNEW it was the right time to start my gourmet chocolateshop despite what people were saying about the economy. Things have been going well and I’ve been learning a lot about things like taxes and HR regulations and merchant services for my store. I feel totally in control over my living for the first time in my life and this certainly beats sitting at that miserable desk all day like I used to at my old job! Anyway, I feel like though I’m not rolling in dough business is as good as I could have expected in this day and age and I’m finally happy doing what I love to do. I mean, how many people can say that?

get sick for a week...

As a parent, we always want the best for our children. It's hard to see them getting sick. That means when the kids are sick, parents are always there to taking care for them. Two weeks ago my 5 year old son got sick and he wasn't able to go to school that time. He was absent for 3 days. I took him to the doctor and found out that he has strep throat. I guess strep throat is very common illness here in the valley. Everyone got the same symptoms, either cold, cough, flu, sore throat and fever. I was really worried especially when he sleep at night because when he coughs, he throws up. When he make noises, I easily woke up so I didn't get enough sleep for couple of days. The doctor give him antibiotic for his strep throat and after few days, he get back to normal and he is able to back to school. I'm glad he is okay now, its a big relief to see your kids feeling better. Hope they won't get sick again, I always wanted to see my kids happy and healthy.

South Carolina

We live in a small town in South Carolina. Until recently, we thought we could not get internet at our house. Cable and DSL don’t come where we live. He even looks much shorter than I remembered. It says that he is single, so I guess that means that he is divorced from that cheerleader that he left me for our senior year in high school. I remembered her name and looked her up. She had some kind of block so I could not see what was written on her wall. But boy did I see the pictures! I really got a good laugh when I saw what she looked like now. Let me just say she is no longer the tiny cute cheerleader with the killer body. But I am sure she must be in that body somewhere.

We're hunting houses in Alamosa!

My husband saw a nice house for us to see tomorrow morning in Alamosa that's why we are planning to drive down there again this afternoon and stay for a night in the hotel. I am kind a excited, hopefully this house is the right one for us. There are only few houses for sale in Alamosa, so it's really tough for us to look for houses. We are looking for a nice house with a big lot size but since there's only 3 houses that we like, we'll see which one is the best. ;-)

Dustin not feeling well...

Last Sunday, Dustin got a high fever 101.4 degrees and that makes me worry but he feel better on Monday. So he went to school that day but on Tuesday night, he started to cough and complains that his throat is hurt and on Wednesday it gets worst because his fever came back. So, I call the doctor and make an appointment onThursday afternoon and found out that he has a strep throat. That doesn't good, no wonder his throat is hurt and he can't sleep well at night because of his cough. His taking an antibiotic for his strep throat and we bought him another cough medicine. Until now, he's still coughing especially at night. He's having hard time sleeping, my husband and I don't have enough sleep too. I'm glad that today he is not coughing that much but hopefully tonight he can sleep good without coughing. Since he is such a good boy, we bought him his favorite lego toy at Walmart. That makes him very happy! I think he can go back to school tomorrow. I just hoping that his fever won't come back. Poor little guy. It's so hard to see your kids get sick. It really breaks my heart. :-(

My New Boots!

I was kind a scared to order boot online coz maybe they will send me a wrong size. I was looking for a size 5 at overstock.com but I could find one that I like. The boot you see in the picture above is the one I like but it was size 6. I thought it will be big but I took the risk anyway, I order it online and when I receive it I was very surprised and happy since size 6 is almost the same as size 5. It's not too small, not too big for me but it just right, so I am happy with it. I am ready for winter now! Love my new bootie!
