I remember in my high school days where one of my school mates love to collect notebooks where there is a photo of her favorite artists. I think it’s a part of her hobby to collect those things. I been printing photos from our California vacation because I didn't finish putting all the pictures together in our vacation album. It's nice to have this kind of memories to look at especially when the kids are grown up. They can see all the photos we did when we went to San Francisco and Monterey Bay and the kids love those photos. Everytime I showed the kids our vacation photos, my 3 year old daughter recognized it right away. She can still remember the golden gate bridge, the sea lions and seals, the aquarium, the cable car and the trolly. It's nice to remember those times and I missed it. Well, our vacation is all done last year on the month of September but the memories are still fresh on our minds.

sick for the week...

Both Dustin and Dana been sick this couple weeks now. We took them to the doctor last Thursday and it turned out that Dustin ears and nose are red due to severe coughing. It's not an ear infection but the doctor still give us an antibiotic for him to take. For my little girl, the doctor said we need to keep an eye on her to make sure her cough won't get worse. But for sure, she will also get what his brother got. Good thing we still have medicine for her to take at night. Hopefully they will feel better soon. It brokes my heart to see my kids getting sick.

Today, Dustin seems getting better, I didn't hear him coughing that much and for Dana, she's a little bit better too, she coughs ones in a while and I see them laughing, giggling and playing together so it makes me happy to see that they are back to normal now, well not much but almost. ;-)

Pool is not easy to taking care of, there’s a lot of things you need to do to maintain the cleanliness to it and if you have decided to add a pool in your backyard, make sure you have all the pool supply you need. I remember the time when my dad took me to his job where he needs to clean the swimming pool. I think I was 11 or 12 years old that time. While watching my dad, I was thinking that the thing he do is not an easy job. Well, he is a good swimmer and he scrub under the pool and put chlorine after. I also help took all the leaves out in the pool and of course I got a chance to swim in the pool for free. It was very memorable for me and I miss my papa so much.

This summer, we will probably buy a small pool for the kids to play. Since we have a bigger backyard now, two times bigger than our old house so I am sure we will have a lot of fun this summer. We will invite some friends and have a barbecue party too. Can’t wait for summer!

Starting my own business was at the same time frightening and exhilarating – I was finally doing it! People had been telling me since high school that I was amazing at make up but I never thought I could make a career out of it. But when my dad gave me a sizeable gift after I graduated from college I decided to make a business for myself and that’s how my makeup studio got started. I am getting used to drive our new Nissan Minivan. I like it very much and there are 7 people can sit inside and the kids love to watch dvd. I always pray to be safe on the road, I try to drive safety for the safeness of my kids. But you know, even how safe you are in driving, you never know other drivers out there. So just better to pray and be watchful all the time. I'm kind a miss to drive the Ford Truck though ;-)

I remember before when I go shopping at one of the thrift store here in the Valley. While I’m checking out, the cashier told me to transfer to the next available casher since their barcode scanners have a problem. I am not sure what happen but I think they need to replace into a new one because the one they used are old. I’m glad they have another one available, it makes me worry though because there are some few customers are waiting to check out. My husband and I just found out we are expecting our first child. It is probably the most excited I have been in my entire life. However, immediately after the excitement started to subside I started to realize how expensive a baby would be. I would have to buy formula, clothes, toys and diapers. Oh my, the diapers were going to probably cause us to go bankrupt. I needed to find a way to save some extra cash. We trade in our Yukon truck for a used minivan. Good thing is, this minivan is like brand new, it only has 9 thousand mileage in it unlike the rest that we drive test they have 27 - 30 thousand mileage. This one is better than the rest. We got this blue minivan at Perkins Motor, Colorado Springs. We drove there last week Saturday. My husband will use the white Ford truck to work and this will be mine. I'm excited to drive this around town :-)

migraine treatment

I just heard from one of my friend that she’s having a migraine and it was really painful. I usually had a light migraine before my period comes, I think its normal but I am not sure. It only takes one day to feel the pain and after that it goes away. Unlike my friend has, her migraine is kind a serious and she needs to go to the doctor for check up. She’s still looking for a migraine treatment and hopefully this time, she will find the right treatment for her migraine, that way she won’t worry about the pain anymore. got a bruise in my leg!

Got a bruise in my left leg, it was a big one. I got this bruise when me and the kids went sledding in the backyard. I was sitting in the middle and dustin was in the back and dana was in the front, when the sled starting to go down, Dustin started to wiggle and move excitedly and we end up falling together. I catch Dana and Dustin was okay but my leg are pretty sore. When I woke up this morning, my leg are sore and when I look at it, I already saw the big bruise. Well, I guess it will go away after few days. Even though I have a bruise in my leg it doesn’t stop me to play with my kids and do the sledding again. I just want to make sure that Dustin will sit still and won’t wiggle and move excitedly again, that way we won’t get an accident.

We went to Pueblo yesterday to look for a figure skate and a fish, since Monte Vista and Alamosa don’t carry a big selections of tropical fish. We would like to add about 8 fishes in our tank because we only have two left. Good thing we found Pets Mart in Pueblo. We also went to Pueblo Mall to look for a skate in one of their sporting goods but we didn’t find the one we like. They don’t carry figure skating either, I think they only have hockey skate. Well, I think we will just rent a skate when we go to the skating rink here in Alamosa, we still need to practice skating because I still didn’t know how to use ice skate. The last time I skate is when I was in high school but that was not an ice skating. The skate I use got 4 wheels so I really don’t know how to skate in the ice. Pretty scary but I guess I need to learn and I need to teach Dustin and Dana also that way when we visit Alamosa, we can do ice skating and have fun together with our friends.

Anyhow, we got the fish we need. We bought 8 different fishes and both the kids are so happy to see the fish swimming in our small aquarium. I think we have 10 galloons aquarium. My husband like to buy that bigger aquarium but I say no because we really don’t need a big aquarium. It just take so much space and take a lot of work to clean a big tank. So hope the new fish won’t die, will see about that after a week hehe.

making snow angel...

Watching daddy making a snow angel seems very fun but I didn't try it anyway because its way too cold for me, we got about 6-8 inches of snow last week and until now the snow didn't melt yet but since the temperature this week will be in 40's so I guess the snow will start to melt. Hopefully. Well, we had a lot of fun, we walk in our backyard to the side gate and walk in the alley and see how it looks in the back. It was cold but the kids really having fun. My husband made them a little cave for them to play. I am sure will have a lot of fun in our new home and will try our best to give the kids the best adventure of their life. :-)

Paying bills

When we got married, I told my husband that I would take on the responsibility of paying our bills. He had essentially no credit when we got married, so most of the bills had to be in my name anyway. I would sit down with the checkbook twice per month and spend about an hour organizing and paying the bills. It was not until recently that I asked him to take over because I was feeling overwhelmed. The first thing he did when he took over was to go to the library and search “4G internet Doyle” because he said that we needed internet so he could set up online bill pay. I do not know why I did not think of that. It probably would have made my life much easier and less stressful. He got the internet set up pretty quickly, and I am glad we have it now because I have wanted it for quite a while. I look forward to being able to check my email from home, among other things. I will probably not volunteer to take over the bills again any time soon.

Buying a house with my boyfriend was the scariest thing I ever did – were we going to get married? What if we broke up? But at the end of the day it’s turned out amazing and the good news is that we ARE getting married next month and we already own our dream home! I love being part of the team that we are and he’s just been so great during this whole process even though my family’s not crazy about the situation. We got wireless internet Kitsap when we moved here so I could email them (we get in less arguments when I email rather than calling) and I also did some therapy to try and figure out new ways to deal with my mom who I have the most trouble with. Getting this place was great for my confidence and working on it’s been amazing, too. I love that there are so many ways for us to come together on this massive project and at the end of the day it’s going to make us money!

We're here already in our new place, this photo taken in our backyard, that's the back view of the house. It's a ranch style home with 3 bed, 2 bath and 3 car garage. It was a nice house, just right for us. As you can see, we got more snow here than in Grand Junction. Until now the snow didn't melt yet and at night, the temperature always drop down to negative, so it was pretty cold.

We got snow!

This is how it looks like this morning in the back and front yard. We got a little snow, about an inch I guess. Not so much but it melts right away in the afternoon. It was so wet and muddy. Well better than frozen one because I don't like it when the road is frozen, it's way too slippery for me to drive. It's pretty though and Dana can't wait to go out and play in the snow!

Maybe I should have thought about it more before I decided to start my own business but you know, at the end of the day my dad told me to always follow my heart when it came to big decisions. As a parent, we always want the best for our children. It's hard to see them getting sick. That means when the kids are sick, parents are always there to taking care for them. Two weeks ago my 5 year old son got sick and he wasn't able to go to school that time. He was absent for 3 days. I took him to the doctor and found out that he has strep throat. I guess strep throat is very common illness here in the valley. Everyone got the same symptoms, either cold, cough, flu, sore throat and fever. I was really worried especially when he sleep at night because when he coughs, he throws up. When he make noises, I easily woke up so I didn't get enough sleep for couple of days. The doctor give him antibiotic for his strep throat and after few days, he get back to normal and he is able to back to school. I'm glad he is okay now, its a big relief to see your kids feeling better. Hope they won't get sick again, I always wanted to see my kids happy and healthy.

I really got a good laugh when I saw what she looked like now. Let me just say she is no longer the tiny cute cheerleader with the killer body. But I am sure she must be in that body somewhere.

My husband saw a nice house for us to see tomorrow morning in Alamosa that's why we are planning to drive down there again this afternoon and stay for a night in the hotel. I am kind a excited, hopefully this house is the right one for us. There are only few houses for sale in Alamosa, so it's really tough for us to look for houses. We are looking for a nice house with a big lot size but since there's only 3 houses that we like, we'll see which one is the best. ;-)

Dustin not feeling well...

Last Sunday, Dustin got a high fever 101.4 degrees and that makes me worry but he feel better on Monday. So he went to school that day but on Tuesday night, he started to cough and complains that his throat is hurt and on Wednesday it gets worst because his fever came back. So, I call the doctor and make an appointment onThursday afternoon and found out that he has a strep throat. That doesn't good, no wonder his throat is hurt and he can't sleep well at night because of his cough. His taking an antibiotic for his strep throat and we bought him another cough medicine. Until now, he's still coughing especially at night. He's having hard time sleeping, my husband and I don't have enough sleep too. I'm glad that today he is not coughing that much but hopefully tonight he can sleep good without coughing. Since he is such a good boy, we bought him his favorite lego toy at Walmart. That makes him very happy! I think he can go back to school tomorrow. I just hoping that his fever won't come back. Poor little guy. It's so hard to see your kids get sick. It really breaks my heart. :-(

My New Boots!

I’m having a baby!! These are the most exciting words I have said in a long time. There are so many exciting things to come. I get to hold my own little baby. I get to rock him and bath him. We have not had cable television for several months now. Our previous provider stopped supplying our area, and my husband is about to lose his mind. We love living in the country, but there are some drawbacks. My husband is a big runner, and he always says how much he enjoys running down long, winding roads with cow pastures on both sides. We stay at this hotel (Columbos Motor Inn, San Francisco) and stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. We will have my passport renew, see the town of San Francisco and walk around Union Square downtown.

This photo taken in our bedroom window. We had really nice view. We can see the Union Square downtown. We can ride an electric bus to see downtown, we don't need to bring our truck. It's a great experience to ride the electric bus, cable car and also the jeep tour we had after 2 days. First day, we went to Fisherman's Warf and Pier39, then second day, we had our jeep tour and we went to Union Square after. the 3rd day, we had my passport renew and we're headed to Monterey Bay the same day :-)

We stay 4 nights and 5 days at the Courtyard Marriot, Sacramento California to attend 3 days Convention for Jehovah's Witnesses. We get a good deal on that hotel. We pay 51 dollars per night I guess and pay 250 something including the tax and the meal we order for one night. It's only 10-15 minutes from the Convention Center. The room we stay in for the night was really nice. The bed is really comfortable. They also have an outdoor pool which is the kids really like that's why every afternoon after the convention, we get a chance to swim at the pool and also their shopping center is 5-10 minutes away from the hotel. It's very convenient and we will surely stay at the Courtyard Marriot again when we visit Sacramento California next time.

Our vacation...

We just came back from our vacation in California. We went a lot of places in California, including Sacramento to attend Jehovah's witnesses convention for 3 days then after that we headed to San Francisco and stay 2 nights and see San Francisco town. The place was fabulous and a very nice City. It was pretty cold though and seeing those sea lions at Pier39 was awesome, Dustin loves to see those big ships at Fisherman's warf and they also love to ride the electric bus, trolley and the Cable Car. At the second day we had a jeep tour and the driver named paul was very nice, he take us to a very popular place in San Francisco including the Golden Gate Bridge, at the crooked street, we also saw the day bridge, the palace of fine arts, legions of fine arts, we see the red woods at Golden Gate Park, china town and the union square. We took a lot of pictures and we really had fun. That 3 hours jeep tour was really fun! After the tour we headed to pier39 and eat at one of the restaurants there then we ride an electric bus to go to the Union Square and have coffee at starbucks. On the 3rd day, we went to the Philippine Consulate in San Francisco to change name for my passport then around 11:30am, we drove to Monterey Bay! I will post some photos later on my next post, see yah!

Outdoor swing!

Mike bought us an outdoor swing for me and the kids to swing around. It was very nice and comfortable. Walmart got a pretty good deal. Instead of $198, I got it for only $99. Two weeks ago, the kids got a big present from daddy, that makes them very happy. They both got a new bicycle! They are jumping for joy when they see it and very excited to ride their new bike. I didn’t got one yet since I need to wait until the kids learn how to ride their own that way we can go for a bike ride in the afternoon after dinner together with daddy. We went to our meeting this morning then after the meeting, we buy pizza from Papa Murphy's for our lunch and dinner and after lunch we let the kids play around in their little pool. It was such a nice day today, it's a great time to swim around and do more splashing! Kids love it! They stay too long in the water, I keep adding hot water so that they won't get cold easily, but after an hour, Dana already want to get out in the water and change. Now, she was tired and sleepy. I spend a lot of time reading because of my studies and when summer hit, I decided I was sick and tired of burying my nose in a book. The Patio...

This is the added room in the kitchen, this is actually the patio but when this room get done, we will probably make this as a family room. We decided to choose the orange cream paint. It's kind a hard to decide which color to choose since there are a lot of color option but I'm glad we both like the orange cream. We started painting couple days ago and we're happy for the results. We're still painting in the kitchen and try to cover up the old paint. It turns out pretty good, just add some new furniture, curtains and wall frames in this room then it will be look nice and wonderful!

I can't wait to help Mike paint the kitchen and the patio. We already find the paint color we like and we came up with the orange cream. We bought about 6 cans of paint at Lowes today and I think we will start painting the room tomorrow! I am sure it will be look good but will see! I will post the photos later when we're done painting the room. I'll get the before and after photos when it's done. We'll start inviting people to have dinner with us when that room is finish so I can't wait for that!

Betsy and Dana

Me, my friend and the kids stop by on Kathy's house to see her little chihuahua name Betsy. I want to put that elbow pads on to her and see how it looks. We try to make an elbow pads for a little doggy and see what ideas we can came up with. The elbow pads seems okay but the fabric we use seems doesn't work. The fabric is kind a thick, we use jeans fabric. We need to make more adjustment because the elbow pads won't cover Betsy's elbow. Of course while Betsy is wearing the elbow pads, I took my digital cameras to took some photos of her, I will show to Mike later when he get home and see if we can make another elbow pads using different light fabric.

When you are on diet, make sure that you take those Weight loss pills that work fast. I bet there are many weight loss pills out there that really work fast. It may help you get the weight goal you wanted. Make sure that you are consistent with it because if not, I don't think you will reach your weight goal. Actually I am happy with the outcome of mike's diet. He really lose a lot of weight now and I think working out in the garage after work helps a lot. It also helps when he eat healthy food and when he limit his snack at night. For me, so far I am happy with my weight. I gain a little bit weight this month, as long it won't reach to 100 lbs then I will be okay.

Sleep Over

It was nice that Ella sleep over here last night. Dustin likes it a lot when he has someone sleeping in her side except cocao our pitbull of course. We had great time together, went to Encore and had lunch in the house. Next week, we will probably do it again. We'll try to make scrubs next week and see if we can figure it out together. So will set that date for next week and will see what happens!

Wow! Mike did a lot today. They already put concrete in the patio and half of it are almost done. Well, actually its not done yet because he still need to add something to it for finishing and I guess he will do the rest for the next couple weeks. While waiting to get the concrete dry, we go out for a while and have lunch at mcdonald. It was a long day and I am sure mike's back is hurting. Good thing that our friend came over and help him mixing the concrete. It was a lot of work! Maybe tomorrow, he will finish putting that wood outside and of course I need my 2 step stools for that because I am not tall enough to reach it.

I receive the shoes from wholesale-dress.net last week and not very pleased about it. The size is okay since I ordered size 5 but when I wear it, It feels like 5 1/2 or 6, its little bit loose and they didn't stick the fabric so much that I need to get a glue and stick it myself. It’s been more than five years now when I bought my first computer. My family is the one who used it since I am not there anymore. My sister said, there is a problem with the keyboard now and some of the letters is not working and need to get a new keyboard. After going to visit http://hearingaids.miracle-ear.com/hearing-locations/north-carolina/c/charlotte/, my husband and I made a trip down south to experience some warmer weather than we have currently be experiencing up north. Vacations can be expensive, but luckily, we save a lot of money because of all the family members we have down in that area. This time around, we stayed with my sister Sue in a suburb of Atlanta. She has a beautiful home, and fortunately for us, she has plenty of extra rooms for us to stay in. We would go out to dinners together, and we made our way into Atlanta to see the sights. There really is a lot to see in the city, and Sue took us to some of the touristy spots. She also took us to some choice restaurants, quite the treat!In the past, we'd go see the Atlanta Braves together, but since it's off-season we had to figure out some other activities. In any case, it was really refreshing to be able to see my sister and have an adventure down south. We always have a memorable time with her, and we hope she comes to visit us soon.

We did a lot yesterday, first we went to Kohls to buy Dustin 2 pair of jeans and 2 pair of meeting suit. Then went to the Mall at Target Pharmacy to get mike's prescription, go to Payless and buy Dustin a nice pair of tennis shoes, black shoes for the meeting and another shoes to wear around. That's a lot of shoes isn't it? well he needs a pair of shoes since he's growing a lot and some of his old shoes are tight and he keep complaining that his shoes hurts his foot. Dana doesn't need one, she already have tons of shoes. I'll buy tennis shoes next time!

After at payless, we went to the food court to have lunch, we have teriyaki chicken and rice then we went to the play area so that the kids can play for a little while. We stay not too long then went to JCPenny after, we're looking for watches, but we didn't find the one that we're looking for. Mike's need a nice watch but watches there at JCPenny seems kind a expensive. So we decided not to buy and just go. We went to Walmart after and do a little grocery shopping then we buy watch for everyone there, one for me, one for Dana and one for Dustin but Mike didn't got one. He didn't find the watch that he likes. Well, maybe we will try again and look watches next weekend. That was a tiring day! we did a lot for one day! Kids have fun and so do we :)

Hiking Moment

The last time we hike was 3 or 4 years ago. It was long time and I miss those times when me and my husband hike together. Dustin was about a year old and my husband bring that bag pack where Dustin can also sit in the back. That was a precious memories that I treasure. We went on hike in the side of the lake and it was very pretty. That was my first time to go on hiking here in Colorado. Actually my husband bought a book where we can easily find good place to hike. He know some places and he is the one who decided where to go. Well, It's nice if we can stay for a night or two there and do camping with friends. We don't have a complete Hiking Gear that time that's why we didn't stay long on that area.

I went for a long hike with my fellow friends when I was in the Philippines. We walk about 8 hours to reach the camping site, it was very tiring because we need to go up and down in the hills. That was memorable though and when we reach the water falls, all the pains and tiredness go away. It seems like, the hike we did really worth it. That's the difference in here, because we only walk couple miles before we reach the camping site. The place where we go on hiking, we saw a ghost town and it was really interesting. They also have old gold mine in there and we took some photos of it and we get back to our car before dawn.
